Waltham, lever escapement marine chronometer for Royal Navy with 8-day winding indicator, triple signed "N.W. 131" along with British military pheon (broad arrow), 37S mvt, 15J, mounted in nickeled tub within three-tier brass bound mahogany box with Waltham plaque, silvered dial marked "Waltham Watch Co (N.W) 131," tub stamped "N.W.131" and "C.W." in addition to pheon, lever escapement, SW-SS, mvt marked "(N.W.) 131" above pheon, nickel damascene, s#22116322 with matching 131 on movement. CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some very light surface spots; excellent dial with some mild surface marks and mild darkening of surface; excellent hands; tub and gimbals in excellent overall condition with light plating loss; inner box shows little wear overall with several light surface dings and scrapes; outer box with loss of finish and poor broken leather strap.
